US, Canuck nets profile Handsome Devils

Production companies from London and Toronto are coproducing a 10x60mins docu-drama for Investigation Discovery in the US and Slice in Canada.
The UK’s BriteSpark Films and Canada’s Saloon Media are co-creating Handsome Devils, which will explore 10 real-life crimes of passion and America’s most notorious woman killers, who used their looks and charm to get up close to their victims.
The deal marks a first international coproduction for BriteSpark, the joint venture factual producer UK production group Argonon operates with former Cineflix doc chief Nick Godwin. Saloon Media, meanwhile, is a new venture from former Entertainment One senior VP, factual, Michael Kot.
Both Investigation Discovery and Slice will play the series next year.
