Oz, Nordic nets shop at Liberty of London

Australia’s Foxtel and Norway’s NRK have pre-bought new UK doc series Liberty of London, which premieres on Channel 4 tonight.

The pair acquired the show from the UK’s DCD Rights, which has taken on worldwide distribution rights after its DCD Media stable mate Rize USA produced the 3x60mins show.

Liberty of London goes behind the scenes at high end Central London department store Liberty as it gears up for the Christmas season.

Distributors have previously sold similar series such as Inside Claridge’s successfully around the world and DCD Rights CEO Nicky Davies Williams said: “Broadcasters around the world have a real appetite for behind the scenes series of this type filled with wonderful characters and extraordinary every day stories.”
