ORF seals German Screenings deals

ORF Enterprises, the commercial arm of the Austrian pubcaster, has announced a raft of documentary sales in the wake of the 38th German Screenings, which took place in Vienna, Austria, this week.

From its respected Universum factual strand Secrets of Bumblebees was acquired by Italian pubcaster Rai and its Polish, Swedish and Slovenian counterparts TVP and SVT and RTV.

Rai, TVP and Slovakia’s STV also picked up another Universum title, Planet Sparrow. Barn owl doc Owl’s Odyssey was bought by Switzerland’s RTS and Denmark’s TV2 at the screenings.

The doc sales were rounded out by On a River in Ireland, which is not from Universum but Irish star producer Crossing the Line Films, which was picked up by CT in the Czech Republic, DR in Denmark and Rai.
