Inbetweeners prodco creates Sibling rivalry for BBC Three
The Zodiak Media-owned producer behind E4 comedy The Inbetweeners has been commissioned to create a laugher for a UK youth channel BBC Three.
Siblings will star Charlotte Ritchie (Fresh Meat) and Tom Stourton (Live at the Electric) as “the world’s worst brother and sister” who “cause chaos and disaster wherever they go”.
Zodiak’s UK prodco Bwark Productions is behind the show, which will launch on BBC Three in Spring 2014. It comes from another Fresh Meat alum, Keith Akushie, and has Phil Gilbert producing and Simon Wilson executive producing.
Zodiak acquired Bwark for an indisclosed fee in July 2011 after The Inbetweeners became one of the most well-received comedies to come out of the UK in recent times. The franchise ran between 2008 and 2010 and has spawned a money-spinning feature film, with a second currently in production.
The six-part Siblings is currently shooting in West London.
