Buhaj succeeds Levine at Disney XD
Disney international animation boss Marc Buhaj is to replace David Levine as senior VP, programming and general manager of boys-skewing channel Disney XD.
Buhaj is currently SVP, international original series and coproductions for Disney Television Animation. His predecessor Levine is moving to Europe to become VP, programming, production and strategic development for Disney Channels EMEA.
Buhaj will report into Disney Channels Worldwide’s senior VP, business operations and general manager Sean Cocchia and senior VP, programming strategy Paul DeBenedittis.
His commissioning credits include Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja and teen novella Violetta.
“Marc has an expansive background in kids TV, spanning programming strategy, content creation and global acquisitions. He is a fresh, innovative thinker who will bring new insights onto our team as we continue to build the Disney XD brand,” said Disney Channels Worldwide’s president and chief creative officer Gary Marsh.
