Japan’s NHK appoints new president
Japanese public broadcaster NHK has named Katsuto Momii its new president.
He will join the Japanese broadcasting giant from Japanese business solutions and IT business Nihon Unisys where he is a corporate advisor. Starting on January 25th next year, Momi will replace Masayuki Matsumoto.
Matsumoto is retiring having served his three-year presidential term.
The NHK board formally decided upon Momii late last week having narrowed the field to four potential candidates, according to local reports.
He will be the third successive NHK president to have been appointed from outside of the broadcaster.
