News brief: CBeebies opening CBeebies Land at Alton Towers

BBC preschool brand CBeebies will open a themed section within UK theme park Alton Towers.

CBeebies Land is being run by BBC Worldwide, the commercial arm of the UK public broadcaster, and Merlin Entertainments, which runs Alton Towers.

Within CBeebies Land there will be rides and attractions based on content from the popular CBeebies kids channel in the UK. These will include an In the Night Garden attraction after a deal was struck with its rights owner DHX Media.
