Steve Macallister in as Zodiak Rights CEO, Matthew Frank exits
Former Disney and BBC Worldwide sales boss Steve Macallister has been appointed CEO of Zodiak Rights and will replace Matthew Frank who is leaving the distributor.
Matthew Frank’s departure follows that of his brother, David, who left last October as Zodiak Media CEO and was replaced by Marc Antoine D’Halluin.
Macallister joins Zodiak next week. He left his position as managing director of sales and distribution at BBC Worldwide in December 2012 as part of a wide-ranging restructure at the commercial arm of the UK public broadcaster.
Prior to joining BBC Worldwide in 2007, Macallister managed the distribution business for Disney ABC International Television – Asia Pacific, formerly known as Buena Vista International Television – Asia Pacific (BVITV-AP).
Matthew Frank has been at Zodiak and its predecessor RDF Rights for two decades.
Marc-Antoine d’Halluin, CEO Zodiak Media, said: “The scale of what Matthew has achieved over the last 20 years is remarkable, and I know he will be missed on both a professional and personal level and I wish him all the best. He leaves behind an incredibly successful and reputable business and I have every confidence that Steve will now take the company to its next phase”.
Matthew Frank (pictured, right) said: “Following the departure of my brother David it felt like a good time for me to hand over the reigns to someone new at Zodiak Rights. In Steve Macallister, I think we have found a great replacement. Steve will inherit a first class team and I wish both him and them every success for the future”.
