BBC Worldwide presells drama miniseries
BBC Worldwide has presold two of its drama miniseries around the world.
Ecosse Films-produced Fleming: The Man Who Would Be Bond (pictured) has been sold into twelve international territories.
Arte (France), ABC (Australia), Showcase (Canada), Zon (Portugal), HBO Nordic, TV4 (Sweden), DR (Denmark), TV2 (Norway), VRT (Belgium), Sinema TV (Turkey) and Wowow (Japan) have all bought the 4x45mins series.
BBC Worldwide-backed channels BBC Canada and BBC Africa have also taken the drama, which was originally commissioned by Sky in the UK and was coproduced with BBC America.
Worldwide has also notched sales for Quirke, the adaptation of the Benjamin Black (aka John Banville) books. Set in 1950s Dublin, show stars Gabriel Byrne as the titular pathologist.
The 3x90mins series, which is produced by BBC Drama and Dublin-based Element Pictures and Tyrone Productions, has been sold to broadcasters including HRT (Croatia), DR (Denmark), RUV (Iceland) and RTV (Slovenia).
