Italy, Egypt ask Who’s Got the Money?

Who’s Got the Money?, a paper gameshow from indie French TV, is to be made for Italian and Egyptian audiences.

Producer Toro TV has acquired the format in Italy, while broadcaster Imagic has commissioned 65 episodes for Egypt.

The format features a ‘profiler’ identifying which of 12 people lined up in front them clutching briefcases contain cash through a series of extreme challenges.

Creator French TV is behind Duel, another gameshow format that has sold internationally.

“French TV has a great history in creating thrilling game shows and [it has] come up with another hit format with Who’s Got the Money? It’s one of those shows that you can see hitting screens the world over,” said Fredrik af Malmborg, managing director of the show’s distributor Eccho Rights.
