DRG goes to Babylon with Danny Boyle

MTG Studios-owned distributor DRG has acquired international rights to upcoming UK police satire Babylon.

The series’ pilot was directed by in vogue British director Danny Boyle, and it and is written by Peep Show and Fresh Meat duo Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong. Robert Jones’ (Four Lions) Jonescompany Productions is attached to produce the Channel 4 show.

Babylon is billed as taking “a wry look at the people and politics in the command rooms and on the frontline of a modern police force, as it attempts to uphold the peace under constant scrutiny”.

DRG is launching the show at NATPE.
