Fox orders Zig Zag’s Prince Harry lookalike dating series
Fox has greenlit I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’, a new reality show in which US women compete for the attention of a man they believe is Britain’s Prince Harry.
That person is in fact a lookalike of the British royal.
The idea for the show came from Danny Fenton (pictured), CEO of Zig Zag Productions.
The UK indie then pitched it to US broadcast network Fox, which brought on Ryan Seacrest Productions.
The lookalike-dating-reality series, which was shot in the UK, is a coproduction between Zig Zag and RSP.
Fox has greenlit the show as part of its spring/summer schedule. It has given it a Tuesday 8pm slot and it will bow on May 27.
Fox’s former reality boss Mike Darnell commissioned I Wanna Marry ‘Harry’, but it has since been overseen by his successor Simon Andreae, who has ordered international reality shows Utopia and Release the Hounds.
