ITV’s High Noon floats Butterfly deal
High Noon Entertainment has inked a first-look deal with US indie Lucky Butterfly Productions.
High Noon, the US Cake Boss prodco that ITV Studios acquired a majority stake in last year, has worked with Lucky Butterfly before on the GSN gameshow The Line.
Under the terms of the deal, Lucky Butterfly and its founder Michael Dietz will develop gameshow and competition formats and they will be coproduced with High Noon.
Dietz and his team will relocate to High Noon’s LA office, and work with its senior VP, development and production Patrick Jager, and Scott Feeley, senior VP, current programming.
Dietz’s credits include Killer Karaoke, Minute to Win It and Celebrity Apprentice.
Jim Berger, CEO, High Noon Entertainment (pictured), said: “We take great pride in our diverse slate of genres ranging from survival to dating to docu to lifestyle. We intend to make a bigger splash in the game space and Michael provides the creative muscle to get us to that goal.”
