Switzerland-based distributor First Hand Films has struck a raft of international deals for its factual titles.
Swedish public broadcast channel UR has acquired Death – A Series About Life (pictured), a five-part doc about looking at different aspects of and attitudes to dying around the world.
UR bought the show as part of a wider package that also included photography series Contact, nature show Project Wild Thing and train series In 80 Trains Around the World.
Other deals for First Hand included selling a package to Canal+ in Spain, which included Ingmar Berman series 1711 Videos – Trespassing Bergman and factual film Trespassing Bergman.
In the Netherlands, pubcaster Avro acquired Contact as did Russia’s NCN-Media. The pay TV group also bought Death – A Series About Life.
