Former Endemol exec appointed Zodiak Media formats chief

Zodiak Media has recruited Grant Ross as executive VP, creative development and format acquisition.

Ross announced his departure as Endemol’s formats boss last week and at Zodiak will oversee in-house format development as well as production and acquisition.

Ross will also co-chair Zodiak’s newly created International Development Board together with Joel Karsberg, chief creative of Zodiak Nordic. The board is designed to driving creative development and cooperation across all territories in which Zodiak operates.

Ross said: “I look forward to bringing together great local production companies to develop and create hit global formats.”

Ross’ departure from Endemol was made official last week. He will be replaced by acquisitions manager Erik de Winter, who is being promoted to global manager of format acquisitions.
