News brief: South African net bags Electus shows
South African pay TV operator M-Net has acquired 75 hours of US cable programming from IAC-owned LA studio Electus.
The deal hands M-Net David Blaine: Real or Magic, Bet on Your Baby seasons one and two, Food Fighters, The Hero, 72 Hours, Mob Wives Chicago, Big Ang, Miami Monkey, G-Thing and The 3.
“Sharing similar commercial sensibilities and admiration for top level production and talent, the titles were easy to identify and the deal is exactly the type of strategic partnership we hope to make with trusted broadcasting partners throughout the world,” said Electus International Media and Formats’ senior VP Eli Shibley.
