Canada’s Marblemedia fills new roles
Canadian indie producer Marblemedia has created two programming new roles.
It has brought on Roberto Alcantara (left) to fill one of the positions and he will be VP, primetime scripted development.
Alcantara joins from Momentum Entertainment Group and will oversee Marblemedia’s slate of scripted programming. Based in LA he will report to company co-CEO Matt Hornburg.
Hornburg said: “Alcantara’s strong relationships with both reputable writers and emerging talent, as well as the trust he holds with many of our US partners, will prove to be a tremendous asset in shaping our scripted slate.”
Marblemedia has also upped Miklos Perlos who takes the newly-created role of VP, kids and family. In that position he will oversee development of kids and family programming and work on international coproductions.
