Duck Dynasty ratings slide on new season opener
Duck Dynasty’s sixth season premiere on US cable channel A&E pulled in just 4.6 million viewers.
In comparison, the unscripted ob doc’s fourth season launch smashed ratings records with 11.8 million.
The season six launch is also down nearly four million on the season five launch, which took 8.5 million.
The Gurney Productions show, which A+E International sells globally, follows a Louisiana family who create duck hunting products.
Its continued ratings drop may suggest viewer fatigue for the character-led ob doc series, which has dominated US cable schedules in recent years, may be setting in.
