News brief: Keshet hires regional sales exec

The distribution arm of Israeli broadcaster Keshet has recruited Karina Dolgiej as sales manager, Latin America.

Dolgiej will work with sales director Kelly Wright, Keshet’s sales director for Asia, Latin America and Australasia, in the newly-created position. She joins from Zodiak Media’s Latin America unit Zodiak Latino and will be based in Miami.

The hire marks Keshet’s ambition to grow its distribution business in Latin America. To date, its notable deals in the region include the sale of the Rising Star format to Rede Globo in Brazil. The broadcaster commissioned a second series of the talent show last week.
