Pioneer’s Dear exits for Ideas start-up

Jeremy Dear, who was UK indie Pioneer Productions’ senior VP and head of factual, has launched his own production company.

The Ideas Room will target the UK and US markets through content from across the factual spectrum.

It will work as both an “end-to-end producer of shows and a development specialist”, and also become a clearing house for third party pitches.

“The potential from untapped development talent is huge,” said Dear. “We want people from all levels in the industry to come to us with their ideas or set of characters, safe in the knowledge we’ll cut them a proper deal.”
