Nat Geo plans to launch the programme in September.
Rome-based prodco Stand By Me is attached to produce the show, which will be a based on Nat Geo’s international series The ‘90s: The Decade that Connected Us.
The latter programme is also launching in Italy in September, and comes as the follow up to last year’s The 80s: The Decade that Made Us.
“This all-Italian product enriches the series ‘The ’90s’ thanks to the participation of personalities who marked that decade in our country,” said Alberto Rossini, VP of entertainment and factual channels at Fox International Channels Italy.
“Once again, National Geographic Channel responds to the challenge of recounting the world around us with an entertaining tone of voice and unique, original content.”
