News Brief: Endemol hires Bigg Boss for India

Endemol has hired Ashok Vidyasagar as senior VP of its Indian operations, putting him in charge of shows including Bigg Boss, the local version of Big Brother.

Vidyasagar will oversee Endemol’s southern India operations, working across unscripted and scripted programming.

Endemol is keen to export formats into India and Vidyasagar will attempt to get Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam-language versions of its shows away in southern India.

He will report to Abhishek Rege, COO, television, Endemol India, and be based in the southern Indian city of Chennai.
