Astro, Azteca plan A Love to Remember

The first telenovela coming out of the pact between Mexico’s Azteca and Malaysia’s Astro is going into production.

Siempre Tuya (A Love to Remember) will be a novella in which a heroine falls in love with a man with severe memory loss.

Major Malaysian producer Global Station is attached to the series, which is scheduled to launch on pay TV broadcaster Astro this year.

Azteca, Astro and Global penned a memorandum of understanding at MIPTV this year that would see them localise Mexican drama formats for the Malaysian market. Azteca handles the resulting international distribution rights.

Astro and Azteca have previously worked together on Akademi Fantasia (La Academia Azteca) and also on telenovela network Astro Bella Channel.
