Broadcasters snap up Robin Hood toon
A raft of international broadcasters have acquired Method Animation and DQ Entertainment’s animated Robin Hood series.
Robin Hood: Mischief in Sherwood was commissioned by French broadcaster TF1 and its German counterpart ZDF and is sold internationally by PGS Entertainment.
PGS has shopped it to RTBF (French-speaking Belgium), NRK (Norway), RTS (Switzerland), RTL Telekids (Netherlands & Luxembourg), Direct Sight (Ukraine), and BBC ALBA (Scotland).
The 3D CGI show has already been acquired by broadcasters including RTVE-Clan and Canal Panda (Spain), VRT (Flemish-speaking Belgium), SVT (Sweden), MTV3 (Finland) and Télé-Québec (Canada).
The series, for 6-to-10s, follows a young Robin of Locksley and his friends and foes.
Philippe Soutter, president, PGS Entertainment, said: “Sales continue to be strong among around the world as this is a story that crosses all cultures.”
