FremantleMedia sells Got Talent to Kenya
The Got Talent format is launching in Kenya.
The FremantleMedia and Syco Entertainment format will be produced locally by Status Communications, part of facilities business Clouds Media International.
Status will make three season of Kenya’s Got Talent. Clouds runs its own TV channel, but Abu Dhabi-based Status is making Kenya’s Got Talent for Kenya Television Network (KTN), the Nairobi-based commercial broadcaster.
George Levendis, head of international, Syco Entertainment, said: “The Got Talent format goes from strength to strength and I have no doubt we are sure to see some incredible talent from Kenya and will discover some stars.”
Omari Salisbury, CEO, Status Communications added: “When the opportunity arose to team up with FremantleMedia International to deliver the world’s most successful reality show ever to Kenya we of course jumped at the opportunity as one of the key objectives of Status is to be a robust supplier of content across Africa.”
