Universal Channel will Get Away With Murder
Universal Channel in the UK has acquired How to Get Away with Murder, the new US drama series from Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes.
How to Get Away with Murder follows a law professor who gets entangled in a murder conspiracy with some of her students. The series will be part of US network ABC’s upcoming fall slate.
It is produced by ABC Studios and Rhimes’ Shondaland. Disney distributes the series and struck the deal with NBCU-owned pay TV service Universal Channel.
Nicky Douglas, managing director, UK, Universal Networks International, said: “How To Get Away With Murder is a contemporary twist on the whodunit that will leave viewers hooked from the first episode.
She added: “Shonda Rhimes has an impressive track record of creating compelling television and we’re thrilled to be the ones bringing her latest project to the UK.”
The series will debut on ABC on September 25. It will then go out on Universal Channel in October.
