New distributor Lineup snags output deals, Bully Project
New distribution firm Lineup Industries has secured content deals with a raft of indie producers, giving it a raft of new content including the buzzy Dutch format The Bully Project (pictured).
Lineup is the new company created by former Endemol and Sony executives Ed Louwerse and Julian Curtis earlier this month.
It has announced the first wave of indies that it will work with and has struck output deals with Sky High TV, Vorst Media and Tin Can.
It also has content deals with Tuvalu Media, the indie that broke away from Sony earlier this year, No Pictures Please and Noble Savage, the prodco run by ex Endemol and SPT staffer Fraser Small.
Louwerse said: “We founded Lineup Industries with a firm commitment to offering producers an experienced distribution partner with strong global relationships at all levels and on all platforms.”
He added: “These deals are testament to our approach and we are very happy to be working with some of the most creative format and factual producers in the business as we prepare for the company’s first MIPCOM.”
The programming deals mean that Lineup heads to its first MIPCOM with shows including Vorst’s Face Your Addiction, Tuvalu’s The First Years: School, Life, Everything and Noble Savage gameshow Dividing Line.
It will also launch Sky High’s The Bully Project internationally. The format has caused a stir in the Netherlands and provoked a national debate about bullying.
In the show a victim of bullying secretly films their day to day life before sharing the footage with classmates and friends as a team of experts seeks to help.
It has been a big hit for RTL 5, doubling the slot average for the channel and delivering a 9.5% share.
