Electric Sky hires former Sony exec for sales

UK-based factual producer and distributor Electric Sky has hired former Sony sales exec Ting Wai Ho as its head of sales and acquisitions for Asia.

Ting Wai Ho spent six years at Sony Pictures Entertainment, latterly as formats director.

Prior to SPT he was at ITV Studios and before that heading up programme sales for BBC Worldwide in Southeast Asia.

At Electric Sky, he will be shopping the indie’s series into the region and acquiring local prodcuct that can be sold internationally. In terms of acquisitions, his focus will be lifestyle fare and 4K series.

Electric Sky managing director, David Pounds, said “Ting is a great addition to the team and brings us new expertise in the area of formats in particular, he will also add to our already significant presence in the Asian market”.
