Lineup Industries snags RTL formats
New distributor Lineup Industries has struck a deal with RTL Nederland and will bring a range of the broadcaster’s formats to international markets.
Lineup, the content company formed by ex-Endemol and Sony executives Ed Louwerse and Julian Curtis, will distribute the Holland’s Top Chef (pictured) and Ultimate Dance Battle formats as part of the RTL deal.
It will also sell two reality shows fronted by Dutch investigative journalist John van den Heuvel, Abducted and Wanted.
RTL Nederland is already talking to German and US channels about international versions of the reality shows.
Sven Sauvé, COO of RTL Nederland said: “We have a catalogue of bold, entertaining and moving formats, and we are confident that they will achieve international success in the hands of Lineup Industries. This partnership gives our content global reach, allowing these formats to capture the attention of a worldwide audience.”
Ed Louwerse, co-founder of Lineup Industries added: “Our deal with RTL Nederland underscores our increasing position as a go-to distribution partner for companies seeking experienced global representation. These titles cross multiple in-demand genres while all combining considerable international potential with proven domestic success – forming a significant addition to our growing slate of quality IP.”
Earlier this month the new distributor unveiled some of the formats in its launch slate, with RTL5 series The Bully Project one of the key titles.
