Looking Glass reveals its Lionheart

Australia-based Looking Glass International will show buyers exclusive footage from new HD wildlife series Lionheart.

The show, from Botswana’s Tauana Films, follows the friendship of Val Gruener,a young man, and Sirga, a young lioness that was born in captivity and abandoned as a cub. They share a mutual dependency that extends to hunting together in the Kalahari region of Africa.

“Having exclusive access to record the incredible friendship and bond between a man and a lion has been an amazing journey of discovery for me, not only as a cameraman, but also as a person and has given me unprecedented insight into and appreciation of the mind and the heart of a lion,” said Jurgen Joezfowicz, director at Tauana.

Looking Glass International’s director, distribution and coproduction Nha-Uyen Chau added that Lionheart “won’t disappoint” broadcasters looking for bluechip wildlife programming.
