DNA hires development chief for fledgling TV unit
Movie producer DNA has hired a development boss for DNA TV, the TV production division it launched with Fox earlier this year.
Tom Winchester will be become head of TV development at the new business. He has held drama roles at Hat Trick, Tiger Aspect, Mammoth Screen and Bentley.
DNA Films CEO Andrew Macdonald (pictured) said: ‘We are very pleased to have Tom join DNA, bringing all his experience in UK TV. We are looking forward to building a vibrant British TV business with Tom.”
Winchester added: “I am excited to be joining Andrew and Allon [Reich] at a time when their partnership with the Fox Network enters a new stage. DNA is already a major force in British film and I am delighted to be helping bring their expertise and world class talent relationships to television.”
DNA’s deal with Fox gives the US company first-look at DNA TV’s projects for its US network and its international channels, which include FX and Nat Geo.
