Hoho tends to Rat & Pigeon, says Aaagh!
UK-based Hoho Entertainment has a new series in development and a new acquisition in the bag for MIPJunior.
Rat & Pigeon, which Hoho developed with HIT Entertainment’s Christopher Keenan, a 2D animated series for 8-12s following a boastful pigeon and an escaped classroom rat in New York City. Grant Moran (WordGirl, Thomas Edison’s Secret Lab) is created is the creator and writer, and Aglaia Mortcheva (Family Guy) the designer.
“Sparky, witty, funky and fresh, Rat & Pigeon has a really distinctive voice,” said Hoho’s joint managing director Oliver Ellis.
Hoho has also acquired Aaagh! It’s the Mr Hell Show!!!, which aired on BBC Two in the UK and Comedy Central in Canada. David Freeman and Alan Gilby wrote the show, with Phineas & Ferb’s Jeff ‘Swampy’ Marsh as art director.
Hoho said the show could be aired as a 13x30mins series or as interstitials online.
Both new shows will sit alongside Rai’s upcoming animated toon Everybody Loves a Moose on the Hoho slate.
