News brief: UK firm Merman reviving US comedy

Sharon Horgan’s new UK indie Merman Films is bringing back IFC comedy The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret after a three-year hiatus.

The David Cross-created show was previously produced by Zodiak Media-owned RDF Television and IFC Original Productions.

The show follows an American heading up the London office of an American energy drink.

Merman launched recently as a venture from Horgan (above, far right), who co-stars in Todd Margaret, and producer Clelia Mountford. The firm has already scored a partnership with US producer Kapital Entertainment.
