Celestial Tiger renews movie output deal

Saban, Lionsgate and Astro-backed channel operator Celestial Tiger has renewed a key content deal with Media Asia Group.

The deal gives CTE exclusive first-window rights to a raft of movies from Hong Kong-based studio Media Asia.

It also covers pay-per-view, VOD and streaming rights to the features across CTE’s channels in Malaysia, Brunei, Indonesia and Singapore.

“Media Asia has produced countless hits over the years and we look forward to being the first and exclusive home of their upcoming slate of the biggest blockbusters with the biggest stars,” said Ofanny Choi, executive VP, TV Networks, Celestial Tiger Entertainment.
