French deals for Matt Hatter

Lagardère Active has acquired hit kids series Matt Hatter Chronicles for its digital kids channels Canal J and Gulli.

The first two seasons of the CGI action series have launched on Canal J and will roll out on Gulli in spring 2015.

Platinum Films distributes and produces the show, which started out on ITV and Nickelodoen in the UK and has also been picked up internationally by broadcasters including Rai in Italy, RTVE in Spain and Canal Panda in Iberia.

Platinum’s Head of international programming Natalie Llewellyn said: “Lagardère Active is the perfect broadcast and commercial partner for Matt Hatter in France and we look forward to entertaining new ‘Hatter Fans’ in France and to replicating the success we have enjoyed elsewhere in Europe.”
