DeGeneres expands online TV offering

US comedian and host Ellen DeGeneres has created a new venture to launch Ellentube, a online service that will have content from her talkshow.

Fans will be able to see additional Ellen content on the site and contribute their own video. There will be an accompanying Ellentube app allowing Apple users to view content on their connected devices.

DeGeneres and the exec producers of her show, Mary Connelly, Ed Galvin and Andy Lassner, created Ellentube.

The Ellen DeGeneres Show has been on air in the US since 2003. It is produced by Warner Bros.’ Telepictures.
