Studio Lambert holiday format lands at ITV
A humorous Studio Lambert-created holiday format is set to go out on UK broadcaster ITV.
The Trip Advisors (WT) is All3Media-backed Studio Lambert’s first ITV commission in half a decade.
The show will reveal how Brits vacation through the experiences of five very different groups of holidaymakers that take the same flights, stay at the same hotels and use the same beaches during a break.
The 4x60mins series will feature a “recurring cast of loveable but opinionated British characters” that review their trips after returning.
ITV’s director of factual Richard Klein (pictured) – who often turned to Studio Lambert while he was factual boss at Channel 4 – commissioned the show along with controller of factual Jo Clinton-Davis. Executive producers for Studio Lambert will be Mike Cotton and Tim Harcourt.
“The Trip Advisors is a fun, entertaining and witty show that sheds light on how we all spend time off,” said Klein, who joined ITV in May last year.
“The different ways our holidaymakers react to the same vacation shows how today’s consumers have very different tastes and that variety is highly entertaining,” said Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert.
