Endemol to finance Amber Television shows

Endemol has secured a three-year development and distribution deal with UK producer Amber Television.

This will see Endemol provide development funding and deficit financing for a new slate of Amber-produced shows in exchange for first-look distribution rights.

Amber is planning to create a slate of scripted series for the UK, US and international TV markets that Endemol Worldwide Distribution will take to the global market.

Amber is behind films such as the recently-released Julian Fellowes (Downton Abbey) adaptation of Romeo and Juliet, and Molly Moon and the Incredible Book of Hypnotism.
