France Télévisions orders pair of docs from Pernel

French pubcaster France Télévisions has ordered two one-off docs from Paris-based indie Pernel Media.

It is making Champs Elysées: The Most Beautiful Avenue in the World about the iconic boulevard and investigative consumer doc Tuna: What’s in the Can?

Champs Elysées: The Most Beautiful Avenue in the World will look at the people and businesses along the avenue as well as tracing its history.

Tuna: What’s in the Can? was shot in Belgium and France and looks into the multibillion dollar industry in tuna.

Both docs will go out on France Télévisions’ France 5 channel. The commissions follow another two for the channel for Pernel, the recent Fontainebleau Castle and Secrets of the French Bakery Industry.
