News brief: Turner channels launch on SingTel

Seven Turner Broadcasting System channels are launching on the SingTel mio platform in Singapore.

Kids channels Cartoon Network and Boomerang, news net CNN International and companion net HLN, entertainment stations truTV and Turner Classic Movies, and Korean general entertainment channel Oh!K go live today.

Toonami will be made available from the end of January and entertainment net WarnerTV will follow later this year.

“With this new partnership with SingTel, our portfolio of leading TV brands is now available in all Singapore pay-TV households,” said Turner International Asia Pacific’s president, Ricky Ow. “Singaporeans have enjoyed our brands and content for years, so we are excited to offer our channels to an even bigger audience.”
