Wildseed charges up with Marijana

Boutique digital content producer and financier Wildseed Studios has unveiled its latest project, an eight-part comedy series based on the themes of health and wellbeing.

Marijana will feature a hapless happiness guru to the stars of the same name and her blend of “yogic fusion, tough love, revolutionary techniques and Pilates… to take viewers on a journey of self-discovery”.

Creator and actor Gabby Best said: “Marijana grew out of a voice based on this real peacock of a lady I met on the London Eye.”

UK kids TV veterans Jesse Cleverly and Miles Bullough launched producer Wildseed to back new talent and incubate and development new ideas, and the firm includes a dedicated comedy arm. “This is exactly why Wildseed Comedy was set up; to work fearlessly with a new generation of British comedy talent to produce fresh and original content that viewers actually want to enjoy,” said Bullough.

In November, Wildseed secured investment from sources including former News Corp digital chief Jon Miller and Fred Seibert.
