Chilean net bags JK Rowling biopic

A biopic about Harry Potter author JK Rowling has sold to a Chilean channel.

ChileVision has bought the 1x90mins Magic Beyond Words from Spanish distributor Imira Entertainment.

Toonz Entertainment-owned Imira has also sold programming in Latin America to the likes of Cartoon Network, Canal Once in Mexico, HITN in the Hispanic US and Ecuador TV.

This came as Imira took on properties from its new parent, Toonz Entertainment, for the first time. Magic Beyond Words will debut internationally alongside the 156x7mins Rat-a-tat, 52x11mins HTDT, 26x2mins Purple Devil and 26x22mins Speed Racer: The Next Generation.

Imira represents the Toonz catalogue following a deal that saw the India-based latter company buy 100% of the former, which is a producer and distributor based in Barcelona.
