Cisneros reveals new sales structure
Cisneros Media Distribution has confirmed its new operating structure under sales chief Marcello Coltro (below), with former divisional boss Cesar Diaz appointed to an Asia-focused post.
Diaz will oversee the CMD catalogue in Asia via his new sales company 7A Media, which launches internationally today at NATPE in Miami. He will also evaluate and develop special projects for the Venezuelan-based Cisneros Media Group.
CMD has promoted both recent hire Helen Jurado and Miguel Somoza to VP, sales, with the former overseeing Central and South America, with emphasis on developing business in Argentina and Brazil, and the latter overseeing North America, with a focus to up business in Mexico.
Sahara Management Holdings executive Cristobal Ponte will, meanwhile, continue to rep CMD’s catalogue in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
The restructure comes after AMC Networks International exec Coltro was drafted in as executive VP, content distribution, and Diaz exited to launch his own content company.
