Discovery Kids engages Annedroids

Discovery Kids Latin America has acquired the first two seasons of Amazon’s hybrid animation kids original Annedroids.

The deal for the 52x30mins Canadian CGI/live action hybrid series, from Sinking Ship Entertainment in association with TVOKids and sold by Picture Box Distribution, covers most of Latin America. The exception is Brazil, where Picture Box has sold it to Gloob.

Amazon announced the series last year as one of three debut originals, the others being Tumble Leaf and Creative Galaxy.

Picture Box has sold another of Canuck compatriot Sinking Ship’s series, live action show Roll Play, along with Radical Sheep Productions’ Yup Yups and Flux Animation’s Wiki the Kiwi to Junior TV in Italy. The latter show has sold gone to Korean pay TV via Kenny & Co.
