Channel 4 inks deal for Lambert’s Tattoo Shop
UK broadcaster Channel 4 has ordered Tattoo Shop from Studio Lambert, a fact-ent series in which tattoo artists fix people’s skin-art mistakes.
The show will be set within the titular Tattoo Shop and feature a crew of resident artists who set about fixing different variations of tattoos gone wrong.
The one-hour series is for UK commercial pubcaster Channel 4’s youth-skewed digital channel E4. Studio Lambert is on production duty.
The UK and US-based prodco is part of Discovery and Liberty-owned All3Media and its rights division, All3Media International will handle finished programme and format sales of Tattoo Shop.
In the show, the viewers will get the back-story on the embarrassing or problem tattoo in question before the afflicted person has a cover-up design implemented by one of the Tattoo Shop artists.
The show then follows the implementation of the sometimes painful cover-up.
In related news, Channel has commissioned a non-TX sitcom pilot, The Cloud, which will follow events on a data hub floating above the Earth.
Graham Linehan (The IT Crowd, Father Ted) and Adam Buxton (The Adam and Joe Show) have penned the script. Buxton, Ashling Bea (Trollied) and Jamie Demetriou (The Midnight Beast) will star in the pilot.
