News brief: Netflix renews Prime Hollywood deal

US-listed streaming service Netflix has renewed a deal with Paris-based distributor Prime Entertainment Group.
The new programming deal, which covers the US and Canada, gives Netflix 20×52 series Hollywood’s Best Film Directors. The series profiles well known directors including The Farelly Brothers, Ridley Scott, Luc Besson and Jon Favreau.
The deal builds upon a previous Netflix-Prime distribution agreement announced late last year, which gave the streaming service 80 hours of Prime content.
