Endemol Shine appoints UK COO
The UK division of Endemol Shine Group has appointed Lucinda Hicks chief operating officer.
Hicks has been upped from managing director of Dragonfly, the UK prodco that was part of Shine and is now one of the production banners in the enlarged Endemol Shine operation.
The company said that Hicks will work with Endemol Shine UK CEO Richard Johnston and chairman Lucas Church to support the group’s UK-based production companies.
She has been jointly running Dragonfly with Mark Raphael for the past two years and before that was in charge of business development at Shine and Shine Nordics.
Raphael now assumes sole leadership at Dragonfly, which counts One Born Every Minute and Extreme A&E among its credits.
“At a group level with Shine [Hicks] helped spot and support individuals and companies from contrasting backgrounds and at different stages of their evolution and has five years worth of knowledge of the Shine Group companies, whilst for the last two years she has lived the challenges and complexities involved in running the commercial side of a production company in the UK,” said Johnson of the appointment.
“After a great five years with Shine, both centrally and latterly at Dragonfly, this is a great opportunity to help realise ambitions here in the UK and internationally as part of the new group,” said Hicks.
Prior to Shine, Hicks served stints at the BBC, FremantleMedia and Channel 4.
