Nat Geo orders ITV Studios Norway ob doc
National Geographic Channels International has commissioned an ob-doc about Scandinavian tow truck drivers from ITV Studios Norway.
The untitled doc is NGCI’s first format fully shot in Norway, and its first with ITVS Norway. It will go out across the 21st Century Fox-backed broadcaster’s European channels footprint.
The show follows “the wild and rugged men who work the specialised tow trucks on the treacherous mountain roads between Oslo and Bergen, Norway”.
NGCI commissions it European productions from its hub in the UK, which executive VP and head of international content Hamish Mykura.
“Norway is a key territory for us and to have one of the leaders in the market produce a series that aligns with our European content strategy makes this project a great fit for the channel,” said Matt Taylor, senior VP, content and development, Nat Geo Channels Europe and Africa.
