Endemol Shine outlines Iberia organisation
Endemol Shine Group has outlined how it will structure its business in Spain and Portugal, creating a new regional hub, Endemol Shine Iberia.
The new ESG unit will comprise all of the company’s prodcos in Spain and Portugal: Shine Iberia, Zeppelin, Gestmusic, Diagonal TV and Endemol Portugal.
The news is notable as it is the only area of the merged Endemol Shine business where top-level executives have not exited as a result of restructuring.
Endemol Spain managing director and former Zeppelin TV boss Pilar Blasco (pictured) will be managing director of Endemol Shine Iberia.
Endemol Spain’s Javier Garcia will be CFO and COO and Jordi Bosch, previously president of Endemol Spain, will be chairman of the new regional hub.
Macarena Rey will continue as CEO of Madrid and Lisbon-based Shine Iberia.
The various prodco bosses all remain in their current positions with Lurdes Guerreiro running Endemol Portugal, Jaime Guerra in charge at Zeppelin, Tinet Rubira running Gestmusic and Joan Bas and Jaume Banacolocha still managing Diagonal TV in Barcelona.
Martha Brass, co-CEO of international operations at Endemol Shine Group, said: “Uniting our companies in Iberia under Pilar’s leadership creates a closely connected regional pool of creativity and resources, which is ideally structured to serve our local partners across all platforms.”
The combined companies make shows including the local versions of Big Brother and MasterChef as well as drama series Isabel, No Identity and Amar.
Yesterday, Endemol Shine launched its first new business since the merger, Bandit Television.
