Turner hires Indian entertainment chief

Turner Broadcasting System’s Indian channels group has a new senior director and network chief for its HBO and WB English-language channels.

Rohit Bhandari joins Turner International India from Sahara India Capsac, where he worked in company’s media and entertainment division.

He will report Turner’s senor VP and managing director, Siddharth Jain, who said: “We’re really pleased to have Rohit on board in this key position as we continue to grow our leadership in the English entertainment genre.”

Bhandari’s appointment is effective immediately, and he will be based at Turner’s Mumbai. He will oversee content acquisition, communications, marketing and brand building.
